Thank You Mets and Mets Parents for a Great Year

I just wanted to say thank you to both the kids and especially the parents for a great and rewarding season. Counting District 14 tournament teams, I have managed and or coached more than 20 teams from BNLL and this was honestly one of the most rewarding years ever. No coach could ever ask for any more effort than our boys gave each and every game. What a great group of kids and parents. I would take any one of them on any of my teams anytime!

We ended up just a few runs short of reaching our season goal of playing for the City Championship, but ending up at 15-3 what a great effort and we had a great year. All the kids had fun and all learned something about baseball and more importantly I hope they learned a little something about life. Everyone is always a winner when you give it your best effort and our boys did that every time they took the field! I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did and I hope to see all the kids returning for another season in 2009.

Thank you to Allen for getting us the tickets to the Astros game. That was a really good way cap off a great season! Thank you to the players and parents for the signed/framed team picture. It looks great hanging in my in my office and is a pleasant reminder of the fun year. Also thank you to the Beckmann's for giving the team a party at the wave pool. Due to commitments with District 14 Tournament Teams and Board obligations (we are hosting 7 & 8 year old games at BNLL Sun 5/25 and I have a District 14 meeting in Texas City at 2pm)  and won't be able to make the pool party, but I'm sure all the kids will enjoy it.

Finally thank you to all the coaches Chris Wagers, Kenny Smith, Allen Carlson, Nolan Bilnoski and Brett Turner. Your help was really appreciated and contributed to the kids having a fun and successful year.

Hope to see everyone next year.

    Coach Kyle
