Thank you so much for your prayers... God answers prayer and He has
answered ours! Dylan has not had fever since Tuesday night (midnight). He
is enjoying doing crafts in his hospital room and his parents have a great
attitude. This hospital stay is more "enjoyable" because his sole purpose
for this hospital stay is to treat the infection; much different than the
brutal chemo treatment. Melissa says it's their home-away-from-home and my
brother says they have almost stayed in every room on the 8th floor (with a
smile). They are relieved that the fever is down! The doctors believe the
infection is in Dylan's port (main line). Considering he has had this
attached to his body for about 5 months now, that's pretty good.
Everybody's spirit is doing well... they are hoping to come home this
weekend.
This weekend is the Houston Marathon. John Hunt (and company) will be
running on behalf of Dylan on Sunday and several of us will be
participating in the 5K also on Dylan's behalf. Saturday is the Texas
Children's 3K where there will be a large group of kids from Baytown
running "a mile in Dylan's shoes". The Hunt family has not only organized
this fundraiser, but also ensured we will all be looking great in our
sporty t-shirts with "a mile in Dylan's shoes" on the front, and TEAM DYLAN
on the back. Please keep us in your prayers for safety and good weather.
